Hi there. I would like to know if it's possible to model and texture a 3D object with the excellent ZBrush and then import it to LW. As I have already noticed, ZBrush currently exports to Maya, 3DSMAX and Softimage. Sometimes I ask myself what's happening to Lightwave? I mean, there seems to be so many options for Maya and 3DSMAX that sometimes I ask myself what newtek is really planning for the near future. I am a great fan of Lightwave; Lightwave has one of the best renders in the world, but sincerely, I do think Newtek should to give it a "face lift" otherwise...
Thanks in advance.

LW9 is almost here, and supports zbrush displacements and normals maps..

It supports rendering Tangent space normal maps natively, and there's a 3rd party object space node already been made. Displacements are supported natively as are 16 bit tiffs.

Thanks to you both who took time to respond. So then, Lightwave is back on the saddle again!

The good news is you don't need any plugins for 9. There's a tangent space normal map node in the new nodal shading system, and full displacements, and a full tiff compatible importer.
