Hi,
I am trying to get my Vt-4 to send the DV output to a second computer and capture the Video stream with Adobe Premiere Pro 2 ... The issue is this. My two computers when connected with a DV Cable think that they are supposed to be installing and using the DV Cable as a network device. My question is this... Is there anyway to trick windows xp into detecting the my connected computer as a DV device, just like it would if it was a DV Camera? Anyhelp would be appreciated...

If you want to work with it in premier, I would ask why you would WANT to send it out as firewire and capture back to another computer? Why not just render out of VT as an AVI (DV format, for example, or any other format that Premier likes to work with). Put it on a portable drive, transfer over a network, or burn to data DVD if small enough... then just load it up on the Premier computer.

Wouldn't that be alot easier (and faster)??
