View Full Version : Jpegs Greyed out

Ok.... Installed LW 8 .5 on my Mac Dual 2.5.

I was in Surface editor trying to load a texture while following a tutorial.

I can see and use all the content that that came with LW (jpegs, tga, etc) that I loaded onto my HD, but when I add my own folder to the content folder and try to load a jpeg or tga there greyed out.

Why can I see LW's content but not mine.
Do I need to save them at a certain size or resolution?

Maybe try and add a suffix to the files...

Don't forget to load the In-Out plug-ins.

There is a suffix on the files.
The interesting thing is, in image editor I can see the files.

I'm new to this and think that you need to do something with the file from within LW to get Surface Editor to see it.

I noticed when I was trying to open them that at the the top of the finder window it says Enable "Lighwave Surfaces" When I click on all documents the files in question show up but still won't load.

You need to load the plug-in. In Layout, go to the Utilities folder, click 'Add Plugins', browse to the input-output folder, select all (you'll want all the image savers and loaders) and load and voila'.

You should do the same thing in Modeler as well.
