Hi guys,
got a problem with uv mapping.
basically dont know how the **** to do it!!!!

Tryin' to map this Zebra skin over the model i have created. was wondering if anyone had any basic tricks to do this.
dont really understand the art of UV so any suggestions would be really helpful

UV mapping in Modeler maybe in for an upgrade during the nine cycle (hopefully :) ) but until then we have to make do, Mind you, UV's in modeler 8.x+ are somewhat better than they were during 7.x and below.

Basically you want to flatten or unwrap your mesh in the UV editor in modeler.
This gives you a 'canvas' or template to paint your textures onto. You can then adjust the vertices in the UV editor to better place the textures into your mesh.
I also have a CD that covers UV mapping quite thoroughly. :)
