i am trying to install c4 on our edit computer which has VT3 on it, but sadly c4 crashes if you try and do anything on it, i was wondering if there is compatibilty problems, or any tricks, fixes, bugs, anyone knows about to fix this, any help would be most useful

remove the "pinacleframebuffer.dll" file from combustion's plugin folder. you won't get a video out from the VT card when working in C4 but you will be able to import/export .rtv files.

i have C4 and i can't get it to work with VT4.

aww really, sadly the whole point was so we could have video out to check some grading through a broadcast monitor

those are the plug-ins i downloaded last year. it works great with c3 but not c4. the "pinnacleframebuffer.dll" is the culprit.

you'll have to downgrade to C3 to be able to use them.

so sorry.

work around would be attach a FW camera and change the prefs in C4 so you can view on FW on an external monitor.
