Read that and thought it a bit odd. LW books/vids aren't usually allowed to ship before the software's release. Had a quick look at 3DGarage and this is what it states at the base of the page.

You will be billed now and the course will ship to you shortly after the official release of Lightwave 9 from Newtek, Inc

Fraid you'll have a little while to wait to yet :)

Thanks Simon -

The course is not yet complete, but on it's way shortly after the official release of LightWave 9 from NewTek.

It's on sale right now as a pre-release.

Thanks,

Just been over to 3DGarage,when you guys are talking about "LW9 Tutorials" - are you referring to the v9 signature courseware?

Thanks

Let's hope so - otherwise you have a busy weekend ahead writing that book to fulfill that order :)

Would love to see some more advanced stuff covered too. I was wondering if any new 'Inside LW9' book was coming and if so, would it be aimed at a more advanced user?

Thanks Steve - I'm working on "Inside LightWave 9"
It will not be advanced. Advanced books really don't sell - if a user is advanced, he doesn't need a book :) But also, the "Inside" brand is a beginner to intermediate series, so we have to keep with that.
But, some of the features covered in the book deal with more advanced controls, so it'll be a good blend for most users.

However, we have more planned for 3D Garage.com this summer, some
more advanced topics. We'll let everyone know when they're ready.

Thanks
