I'm having problems with animations when MotionMixer is active...

In Layout's options panel, turn on "play at exact rate".
Load a box or other simple model into Layout.
Set a ketframe at frame 0.
Move to frame 60, rotate the object by 180 degrees and set a keyframe.
Open MotionMixer and create an actor. Do not create a motion.
Close the motion mixer window.
Play the scene.

On my system (using Lightwave 7.5) the object being animated is drawn in its default position (as in frame 0) together with a flickering ghost of its animation.

Does this problem still exist in Lightwave 8? Is there a way to prevent it in 7.5?

After reading through the MotionMixer manual I have managed to identify the problem. After creating an actor it is necessary to disable the "Actor Active" checkbox or MotionMixer will interfere with the Layout keyframes.

This behavior is confusing and should be changed to prevent items under actor control to be at all affected by the regular timeline.
