Does anyone know how to make a clip look like an old projector film? Are there effects for such a thing?

Thanks!

Most editing packages come with filters to achieve this sort of thing. I had the chance to play around with Sony Vegas about a year ago, and as I recall they had a whole bunch of neat filters to make a video clip look like bad tv, old movie, etc.

I guess you could probably achieve the effect directly in lightwave, but it'd be much easier to do in your favourite editing package.
Hope that helps.

DO you mean something like THIS (http://www.3dthunder.com/old_film.html)... All done in LW, following Kevin Phillips Tips n Tricks 3 (http://www.kurvstudios.com/lightwave/tips_and_tricks_III.php)..

QuickTime Pro has some filters that can do an 'old film' effect. It could of course be done in After Effects ...

I know there's probably a few plugins that can do it with the lines and scratches. I can ask my friend what he uses if you're interested. Let me know.

There are image filters that can be used for this effect. I'd have to wait until I get home for the details, if no one else comes up with it.

From a test I did. In the Image Filter I have.

Bloom
Soften Reflections
Vector Blur
Depth of Field Blur
Virtual Darkroom
Sepia
Video Lines

The values will depend on the scene.
