Very simple idea:

Is there any way to export a lightwave scene as a DXF? Or maybe flatten the LWS to a LWO and then export as DXF? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Seems really simple!

I doubt that it's a plausible idea, and not as simple as one may think :)

You could quite happily convert a .lwo to .dxf (not a .lws)
But these days god knows why anbody would be still using .dxf.

There used to be a plugin on flay that would load certain things like positions
from a .lws and allow them to be viewed as a .lwo in Modeler.
You could then convert to .dxf.. It depends on what you need in the .dxf.

But i doubt there would be any reasonable or useful way to do what you ask.

I don't believe you will be able any type of scene from any 3D application,
that would translate lights or cameras for example to a .dxf.

What is it you are trying to achieve? Maybe there's another way.

We modeled a tradeshow booth, our client is requesting the files for autocad in DXF or DWG format. We do not need the light or camera info just the models arranged as in the scene, any thoughts?

Create the scene as one LWO. Put all the items in Modeler and save as one object.

In Layout choose "save transformed" on each object, after that, open Modeler and copy all objects into one object.
