current case: my char sits at the desk and his hands rest on the desktop.
To prevent the fingers/hands to penetrate the desktop I wanted to use an effector set to plane and put where the desktop is...just to discover that the plane effector can not be scaled, its infinite and also effects the complete body of my char (imagine the result)not only the fingertips.

1.Effector should have a real scale attribute to limit their effector influence
2.The effector custom object should be working as a visual reference.
The point of having a custom object that is not linked to its plugin escapes me.

I agree, The effector is nice and shows up in realtime but is a little too limited. It could work with SoftFX if it was calculated in realtime like the effector is.
