View Full Version : Strange Artifacts when Mirroring

I building my first character model and my progress has been pretty much stop & go. Anyhow, I wanted to get the symmetry perfect again on my model, so I deleted the left side and mirrored the right. Everything went fine except for a couple of things:

1. When I attempt to "tab" between subpatches and polygon mode, I get an error reading : Only faces with 3 to 4 vertices can be converted to Subpatches.

2. Strange artifacts as indicated below


So, with #1, should I just keep on working and ignore it or will there be serious consequences down the road? And, with #2, do I select and delete them or do something else?

open up or stats window [w] in poly mode and you should be able to select them it will be 2 vertices option hit the plus sign and they will be auto selected and hit delete to get rid of them. Hit m [merge] to be on safe side.
