...is this a possibility ?

I'm just about to put T4 on and was wondering if instead
of uninstalling (my currently working version) is it possible
with some mucking around to have the 2 versions installed
without using multiple partitions / OS's ?

thanks

I doubt it, especially if the versions have different drivers.

Not reliably. If reliable performance is not critical, you could just re-name the root folders before launching.

thanks paul, that was my 1st though.

mostly I want it just incase, dont feel like rebuilding the
whole computer if T4 don't work for some reason.

thnx

Hard drives are cheap (I use them like floppies at times). ;) I'd copy the existing system partition to a new drive, swap the drives, then you can mess around with new versions without worrying that you can't get back to a working configuration by popping the old drive back in.

I do this on one drive using Bootmagic (choose which partition you want to boot from), but Windows (2000, don't know about XP) makes you jump through many hoops to do this; an entirely separate drive will be easier to deal with.
