Hello- I'm looking into using the free Voodoo tracker- and for the most part it's great. I'm just wanting to know if/how/what is the best way to export a scene from blender and into lightwave since Voodoo doesn't export to LW by default. Is there anyway to convert the file without using blender?

I have some REALLY bad footage to track, the elements that are to be included are very simple, 2D ones, but unfortunatly there aren't enough good tracking points to just do a "billboad" type track in DF. I'm hope'n that I can get a few shots done with 3D tracking help instead...before I begin the painful process of hand tracking.

Thanks
-Gideon

Doesn't Blender have a LW export built in.

Icarus (http://student.nackademin.com/dg04131/icarus209lite.rar)

Have you ever tried using the old Icarus program? It does great tracking, is free, and exports LW scenes.

Might help get you going.

Yeah, maybe it is only lwo files. I read where people are exporting fluid motions from Blender into LW. Maybe looking at that could determine how. I don't know if it was on here or over at CGTalk.

I'm using Icarus right now (since it's a non-commerical project) and it's just soo much slower than Voodoo. We'll see though...this scene is giving Icarus a run for it's money since almost every thing about it screams "there is no way this is going to work" (well I guess that doesn't work since it's the free version).

There is no scene exporters for Blender....
You can import/export .lwo's...
In terms of blender fluids, you can export object sequences.

I believe their is Lscripts for both Lightwave, as well as Blender for Voodoo...
If you need the Lscripts for Voodoo, PM or send me your email address.
