I have a new CD available showing how to rig a quadruped (a 4 legged creature). Quite a few things are covered including the use of LWs standard full time IK as well as IKBoost.
I will have it available at a substantial discount until the end of April. :)

I posted an example of a run cycle done with the rig I create on the CD.
It was stable and very easy to use. This took maybe a half hour or so to setup and tweak. :)

excellent stuff!

the deformation holds up very well.nothing seems to be pulling on points that shouldn't be...

Hey Steve,
I show how to setup the rig with and without weight maps. In this example theres only 3 weight maps though the non weight mapped version deforms at least as well and is less time to setup.
I include all the content I have used to create it including the models in various stages of completetion. The run cycle scenes are also included.
Right now the videos almost 4.5 hours. Ill probably do another one just on animating the creature in various ways. :)

Yow! That looks cool. I'd order it now, but I'm moving in less than 2 weeks.

Puguglybonehead,

lilrayray77,
Thanks, Im glad it worked out for you. I also recently released another video on modeling a head with splines and the product creation DVD also covers some spline modeling. :)
