All,

I'm new to lightwave and was wondering where to get tutorials to start and can you provide a list of software and plugins that go with Lightwave to expand and support it? Thanks!

Plug – in database
Flay is a web site where you can search other web sites for plugins. If you need a plugin for Lightwave this is the very first place to check. The address is www.flay.com

If I missed anyone my apologies as this is going to be a growing database. Anyone wishing to be listed, please pm me or access my forum and post a message.

While Silkrooster was kind enough to post all thsoe links, stop and really consider getting to grips with lightwave. It is a deep program with lots of capabilities without the need for external plug-ins.

I am not saying don't look at other plug-ins, but instead really concentrate on the core app. My main reason for saying this is that while there are a LOT of useful plugs out there, some don't play nice with some features of lightwave. If you have a good understanding of the core app, you will notice when a plug is causing a crash or other weird effect.

Fotunately, a lot of the tutorials out there don't make use of any special plugs. Concentrate on those first. Then venture out and try different plug. Some can really help, while others seem to be dubious as to their value.

Anyway, happy lightwaving!

All,

Thank's for the great advice! I'm looking for the right "place to get started and hitting the books looks like the right place to work on the core app. If anyone else has any ideas, please send them in!
