Hi!

I want to create a shadows pass for my particles. In 3DSMax I only have to create a Matt/Shadow material and the object generate only a shadows layer. The alpha is affected only by the shadows...

How can I create that in LW. I try to play with the "matt Object" properties and "Alpha Channel" but I don't find.

I really need to separate the particles, the backgroung and the particles shadows...

Thank You!

set your particles and shadow casting objects to 'unseen by camera' in the object properties panels.

then in your shadow-receiving object's surface, in the advanced tab of the surface editor, set the alpha channel to 'shadow density' instead of 'surface opacity'.

or you can add 'Render Buffer Export' in the image processing panel and export the shadow pass as a rendered image sequence at the same time as your normal render is rendering.

Thank You Jeremy!!!!

Should be could to have an overide for 'shadow density' directly in the object properties. All Shadows/Matt fonction a the same place.
