Haven't done (completed) a character in a loooooooong time. Thinking of putting her in UT2K4. Gotta make the sash for her pants, and the holster for her sword.

Ya gonna cell shade it since you seem to like toons?? I'd like to take a closer look at the details with some cool lighting effects or something :) What kind of things does this character do? Or is it just a costume study?

Yeah, I'm thinking of making her look more pastel and dream-ish looking. Re-doing the textures now. No cell-shading on this one.

How's it going Lamont, nice model. I am curious to see the UV layout? Also what app are you using to get your characters into UT2K4?

I'm using LW to get then into UT2k4. There is an exporter that works great. I'll send a snapshot as soon as I get home.

Hehehe and it's going good. How's things on your end. You need to pick up Siphon Filter for the PSP!!

I'll check out Siphon Filter, thanks . So that plug-in lets you export skeletal mesh animation out of LW? If so I might have to hit you up for that. We still have to get together one of these days to get some PSP multiplayer gaming on.

Here are the UVs'.

So yeah, the plugin spits out the bone setup and the mesh and the animations. But you have to name your bones a certain way so UnrealED can sync up the animations that they already have in the game.

Nice lighting, I think I like the color change as well:)It's just a viewport grab :).

Well it's a nice realtime render reguardless:D Much better than the first one. What did you do differently??

04-12-2006, 01:05 PM
Well, what I do to get nice quick shadows w/out rendering is use the red channel from the normal map. Then I used high contrast and burn.

Alright, time to move on to something else.
