Hey... Trying to figure out how to model for 3d printers...
Can anyone give me any help about Ngons, Holes, Intersecting geometry,
what works and what does not?

Thanks a bunch!

The StereoLithography, STL, files used for rapid prototyping only use triangles. You can build using ngons and just triple your polygons before saving to a STL file.

Your meshes should not have holes. If you could fill the mesh with water, no water would leak out.

I have never asked my customers about intersecting geometry. I would try and avoid intersecting geometry.
