OK, I have a window coming up and I will once again try upgrading from VT3 to VT4...and then update to VT4.5. Don't know if VT4.6 is stable enough to load it at this time. I just can't afford any downtime again.

So the question is, what can I expect to encounter during this upgrade to VT4.5 and what are some of the current issues with this version? I know I'll lose some of the cool features/buttons from VT3. They may have been reincorporated back into 4.5. I won't know until I get it up and running.

Thanks for any feedback.

I can't recommend 4.6 highly enough. It's the best build we've ever had.

Just make sure you go to Windows update and get all the updates, critical and the extras. Keep going back until they are all gone, because there are updates to the updates to the updates. ;)

I highly recommend Windows XP also. VT can run on 2000, but there are Windows bugs that have been fixed in XP. MS isn't updating 2000 to fix the bugs.

There are a few bugs here and there, but nothing serious that I can think of off the top of my head. It should be an improvement across the board from VT3.

I'd have to agree with John..... very stable here, too

I would certainly recommend going right to 4.6c instead 4.5...

Otherwise you'll be running into some NASTY bugs like the conforming bug in 4.5...

Yep, 4.6c is the way to go. So stable I can't remember when the last problem occured.

Went from V3 to V4.5 then loaded V4.6 without any problems at all. Very stable compared to V3. And I am still very new to VT but saw the improvements and stability in 4.6. V4.6c now.
