I have to appeal to the mac community here. I've somehow deleted ALL of my 3D workfiles/portfolio that has been built over the last 4-5 years. I know, shame on me. But I couldn't back the stuff up.

Now I've not touched the drive that they were on so technically speaking, they're not gone.

Does anyone know of a life-saving program that can save my career?

Some utilities that might be able to do it. I don't know how well they work, though.

Try calling the company it's self. They have some programs that retrive lost data. Big bussines use them for servers. So try your luck see what you can get. 200gb drives arn't that hard to find. There between $180 and $400 depending on the RPM and transfer rate.

"couldn't back them up"?
I'd say you learned a very painful lesson here. there is no reason at all that justifies not backing up data.

now you'll either pay a small fortune and get it back, but not necessarily everything you lost, or you'll start over

:thumbsdow I just lost 26 gig bits of art work. I still have the original models but none of the art work/ scenes. I now have a Maxtor "One touch" unit and two ministack by Other World Computing. The Ministacks come with Retrospect. I upgrade to the full version of Retrospect. I can now do a full back, copy or archive/compressed file by the labels to any drive. Cool!!!! :D
