Hi, I was wondering where to find really old Lightwave Demos. When I say old I mean OLD! like versions one, two, three. I am curios to see how people in the early '90 made 3D stuff. If anyone knows any thing please post.

Well, I don't know about demo's, but at this site http://web.archive.org/web/*sa_/http://www.newtek.com you should find screen shots.

I don't believe there were any demo's of Lightwave before 6.0, in fact i can't remember a demo before LW Discovery Edition 7.0....

LW was not on the PC until LW5.0 (i think) So any versions previous to that you would need an Amiga.

I think the first few versions required the original video toaster.
So i doubt you would have any luck.

I am looking for the "steamy manhole" tutorial. I think my friends don't believe its a real tutorial. Came out around version 5 or 6. Any tips appreciated.

Hehe that takes me back. If I remember correctly, the steamy manhole tutorial was in the LW 5.5 manual.

EDIT: Dug out my old 5.5 manual. It is in the user guide, pages 22.2 - 22.13.
NEWTEK GUYS: Would I get into trouble if I scanned and uploaded it for posterity?
