View Full Version : MD Controller & FX Wind Ver. 8.0

I'm trying to create a long flowing banner atop a mountain. One which is affected by the blowing wind. (I.E. mejestically blowing in the wind.) Ahhhh...how nice.
I have set all the parameters with the object and have created a directional wind FX from the FX browser. I am able to get it blowing in the wind but for the first 50 or so frames it spirals and twists and basically goes beyond any of the parameters I have set with the FX Wind. Then, as the scene gets to the end, the wind esentially dies down to zero blowing and the banner has very little movement.
I have tried adjusting every function between the MD and FX and cannot figure out how to control the initial wind nor can I maintain a blowing look I want.
Also, every time i try to add this scene via "items from scene" into the master composition LW crashes, every time.

Any ideas?

Thanks everyone!

You may want to go a simpler route.

I set up a simple scene where I just applied animated displacement maps to a subD banner.
