View Full Version : unreal shader with OSX

Hey there -

I have a scene in which I am using the unreal xtreme plugin. I am having crashing problems during render time. Everything is fine and dandy up until the point that the toon tracer plugin goes to draw the inklines. As soon as that happens, it crashes. Everything worked fine in OS9 (in fact I ended up booting up in OS9 to finish the project.) It's a work around of sorts, but I haven't been able to get screamernet to work in OS9 for a long while now, but have it working fine in OSX, so I'd like to know if anyone has any idea as to why unreal crashes in OSX.

I have used Unreal shader in OSX with no problems, what version of LW, OSX & Unreal are you using?

OSX 10.2.6
Unreal Extreme v1.0
Lightwave 7.5c

What version are you using? Maybe if you're using the old version of Unreal, and it's working, maybe I could find the old installer for that version somewhere.

I'm on OSX 10.2.6 with version 1 of unreal also, but I have dropped 7.5c back
to 7.5 as I have had a lot of problems with other plugins with the c update. This could be the answer to your problem

well, my problem began while I was using 7.5. I upgraded to 7.5c to see if it would fix the problem. No such luck.

I have checked the version of Unreal that I am using and it is V1.00c for LW6.5 on OSX. I could e-mail this to you (I think thats allowed) to see if this version works for you.
