View Full Version : Portability question

My "crew" is in the throes of putting together a kit for doing live podcasting/broadcasting at different events. So far we've got a couple GL's, tripods, and such.
My cohort wishes to bring along this obscenely bulky rack to which he wants to mount 3 monitors, a main board, an audio mixer, a laptop to capture and broadcast out from, etc. etc. etc.

For what we're doing, what would be the most space/time/cost effective solution?
We've got some pretty techie type people here and I think they're itching to put something together. The question is, what and how?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Look into Tricaster. A shoesize box Tricaster, with an LCD monitor and you've got your setup.

Or if you need more power than what is offered in the TriCaster then....

There are many different options to make a VT portable... It really depends on what you are used to using. We have done some great shockmounted Racks for FEMA and some really ultracompact solutions for other field production applications like Dove Media Group who is using our kits in the US, Europe and Nigeria.

Here are some pics and a link of our ultraportable VTtoGO box:

Of course Cost all depends on the system designed and the budget you want to set. Lots of variables. Let me know if I can help you get setup.
