View Full Version : Modeler to Layout Trouble

Frist of all, I'm new to Lightwave and currently using V7.5

I have some problems sending objekts from the modeler to the Layout, or opening it in the Lightwave.
I've modeled one side of a head. I can send it to the layout. no problem. With Subs or without, doesn't matter.
But if I mirror the head and stitch it together and send it, Lightwave crashes.
A "not enough memory for adjacency item" request appears and the it's gone. (but "not enough memory" can't be the reason, cause when i just mirror the head and don't stitch it together, it does not crash.)

Should i use another version, or did i model in a "bad" way. And if so, what do I have to take care about to avoid these crashes?

Please help me out...

Hi, I'm a newbie too.

I have done the same thing in Lightwave 7.5 and had no probs.

I am running Windows XP.

My theory is that there is either a problem with memory in windows or a problem with your Lightwave install.

I would try reinstalling Lightwave and if that fails I would try Re-installing Windows.

Also, maybe you not got enough memory.

Hope I have been of some help to you.

I have the problem solved.
I don't know why, but I had over 41000 1-point polygons in my model and that caused the trouble. after deleting'em the problem was gone...
