Hello all,

I'm posting this character animation which I just finished - all animation done in Lightwave!

http://www.dalestorer.com/gatekey.wmv

It was originally for the monthly animation competition that the 10 second club hosts. http://www.10secondclub.net/. I have noticed through most Lightwave forums that there is not many Lightwavers getting the animations out - so here's my start to some contributing. I went over the time limit, so I decided to finish it and post it for crits - better luck next month.

The rigged models (all one of them) were models which I made using Jonny Gorden's Lightwave 3D 8 Cartoon Character Creation, Volume 2 : Rigging & Animation  ; Another link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/15...5Fencoding=UTF8.

I highly recommend this book and I plan to purchase his first volume as well. Jonny actually is a real person and answers questions - very cool! The other props were freebies from Turbosquid.com.

Well, practice makes perfect - and faster - so let me know what you think.

Thanks,

dale

Imaginative action for that sound-byte. :)
The one thing that I would tweak: the timing of the reaction by the "gatekeeper" at the presence of the "big" guy" seems a little premature; maybe delay that a half second or so. Otherwise, very nice.

Very good. I love the expressions of the characters - which are very well modelled :)

mattbolton,

Thanks for the crit. You're right - I have to revisit the timing. I'm gonna work that. I was thinking that the reaction would introduce Andre - I mean the 3rd Pig (no offense). But looking at it again - it would probably add more to the scene with better timing.

Thanks again,

dale

Thanks MiniFireDragon, I appreciate the response. The twist was one of those things that came to me halfway through the animation process. I'm glad that I could find the model fodder on turbosquid.

I appreciate the feedback!
