I don't have the links handy...
but search google for:

Lightnet
Renderpal
BNR
Spider
Amelto
Opensource - The Falcon Render Manager

BNR is by far the most reliable and useful one i have seen.
Amleto sounds/looks good too, but it's more expensive than BNR.

If you buy LW9 and get the VUE 5 Infinite bundle, Render Cow is part of VUE 5.
Also one of the more popular controlers currently is MULE.

new to this forum... so, hello all.
I'v been using MULE for about a year now and am very impressed with it.

for me, I needed a product that worked.. no probs with MULE yet, and...a responsive tech support, they have that too.

good luck

Can you use Render Cow with LW? How?

Vue 5 Infinite / Python Scripting render engine?
good question... I took a gander on the site and didnt find any connection to LW as far as sharing a network goes... or a connection to screamernet for that matter. I'm not positive but I think you need to tap into SC for anykind of LW rendering.

Butterfly is good render manager, i used in the last studio where i worked, and it's fine solution.

lightnet is a good free solution, is not robust and versatile like butterfly, i tested many manager, and i find that butterfly is better solution in hard enviroment.

currently MULE is the my render-er of choice. I agree with the Lightnet statement, but for free it's not a bad choice. Butterfly, Taquilla, there pretty equal when it comes to render options. I have purchased and or used most of them over the last 6 years... even had a stint with Spider (remember that one?)

I guess in the end the main thing was for me, is...how long are they going to be there, are they going to be there (when I need them) and at what level of dedication do they have to Lightwave! I guess, in the end this is why I ended up with MULE.
