Hi there!

Just finished my recognizer-model from the movie "TRON"

Recognizer Anim (http://www.cueball.de/images/Tron/Reco01.avi)
(Divx 6.1 455kb)

I always liked the look of the movie, because it was cg, but on the other
side the cg images looked very imperfect with all the grain and stuff in it.

Now i'm doing the 2. version of the recognizer from the movie,
(the blue one from Flynn)which needs a bit more damage added.

Those pics bring back a few memories!

I've never seen 2.0 so I'll look forward to seeing it:thumbsup:

Edit: Doh! - Just realised what your were on about with the 2.0. I thought you meant the one from Tron 2.0 (Or did you?)

Hi!

There are just 2 different models used in the movie, the green and
the blue one :)

Ahh - right.

It shows you how far things have come really. When they made that movie, it must have cost some serious $'s. But now you could make all the effects yourself for less than a second-hand car!

Cool stuff:thumbsup:

Here are some interesting information about how it was to work
on cgi this time::eek:

Thanks for the image & history link. I covered some of ths stuff during my Uni days, but there's some interesting things here that I missed. The size of that computer is astonishing!
