I have a project where a client is supplying a model that they would like me to produce a presentation from similar to ones I have completed in the past (http://www.sims-group.com/uk/solutions/library_sc.asp). Problem is it requires some mechanical rigging and animation which is out of my comfort zone. Hence Iím looking for some one who can take their model, rig it and produce a scene file matching the animation in a sample movie provide. Final Lighting and Render would be done by me.

The object is being supplied in OBJ format exported from software called Pro/Engineer and imported into modeller with no 3rd part software being used. The resulting model is a little tatty in places. Is there a better anyway of bringing the model in from Pro/Engineer?

If your interested email me at [email protected] and I can give you a link to more detail showing a render of the object needing animated and a movie showing the animation to match.

I have include a small part of the object to show the small artefacts the model has, but there not to major.

STL might be an option. You can import using the STL import scripts from Sean Moyer http://www.chromecow.com/downloads/lscript/

However, I assume it also depends on how detailed they are exported from Pro/E, what you show looks like spline patches that have been tesselated with too few polygons.

I'd offer more help, but I'm away for two weeks and busy for the week after that.
