View Full Version : "Target Item" driving me nuts!

Any of you out there having problems with "Target Item"? Every time I target a bone to a null, it points completely in the wrong direction. What the beeeeep is up with that? I reset my rotation values of the target item, to be the same as the bone rotation values, but it still jumps towards the wrong direction.

This is supposed to be a very straight forward tool. am I doing something wrong?

Did you reset the pivot rotation of your BONE object? That's the one that seems to screw up bone targeting...

Coomon problem. Your bone needs to be facing the positive Z to work well with Targeting and many other motion modifiers.

That is why it is best to rig your characters (or anything) facing down the +Z.

That is why the cow object loads up with the butt toward teh camera :)

Hmm. I didn't know that. I thought the cow was just showing off. Thanks for the tip.:thumbsup:
