I was sailin' along just fine last night, working on Chapter 11 of Dan Ablan's "Inside LightWave [8]." I got to the spot where I'm starting to use the Super Shift tool, and toy around with it a bit. It got late, so I saved my work and started back at it again this evening. The only problem is, I can't find the Super Shift tool any more! What's up?

Thanks for the quick reply, jeremyharding, but...
1. The Super Shift tool was available under the Multiply tab last night, and
2. Multishift is not... (?)
3. Super Shift is the only thing mentioned in my LightWave 8.5 Manual.

yeah, you have to update your menus. either edit menus and add multishift manually or in your menu layout config, change the preset away from and back to default.

i replied with a thread because it's a common question. granted you didn't know that its a common thing, but a quick search of the forums almost always saves some time and lets you know if your problem is a common one or not. ;)

Does that make sense?

Doesn't explain #1 above, but I'm game to try your suggestion. Thanks, again.

Actually, I notice that Multishift works more like Dan describes Super Shift in his book.

So, on with the lessons...
