Only thing is that the hair looks kinda like strips of paper...

how about a wireframe?

IT's a very striking image.
Some crits -
- for such a close up of the hand, it needs to have better textures, and it also isn't gripping the sword in a very realistic way.
- The UV mapping on the sleeve seems to be totally messed up.
- Various parts of the image seem to have blur applied for no particular reason.
With a little more work, this would be a great image.

Wow - that is one powerful image. Like it a lot - very stylish.

Can you tell us more about how you did the sky. Particles and Hypervoxels by the looks for things. It's very effective.

I like the camera angle a lot also.

Congratulations

Hello Jaw.. :) thank !!!

the mountains, are a mixture of modeling, map of displacement, to keep
the transformed object, and to optimize the mesh.

Such a cool image, I love the sword, its so unusually shaped at the handle, also the hair looks great, very manga in my opinion!
I'm most impressed by the sky effects tho!
I had a close look at the detail picture and it looks rather interresting.
Since im so new to LW im pretty much baffled :o
No technical input from me, just total appreciation for what the picture shows me :)

in one word...'Superbe' :D

i dont think the hand is gripping it un-naturally so to speak, but it appears that its more like its holding a staff than a sword. love the work on the mountains, all in all, its awesome

Understood - can't wait to see your site.

Just be aware that "Jap" not "Japp" like you have, is a derogatory term for Japanese from World War II. Some Japanese people are really offended by the term (my wife is Japanese & I don't think it would bother her at all).

hi Paulrus

thanks for the information.:yingyang:

I have never wanted to offend nobody.:foreheads

I admire much the Japanese culture.:beerchug:

Thanks again.

Yeah - I know what you mean. I used to use the term Japanimation for Japanese animation, but more than one person told me it was offensive. I think the only people that would be bothered would be older folks or overly-sensitive types. I know my wife wouldn't care at all.

I suppose with the word Japanimation, I guess it's where you put the stress. I've always read it as Japan-imation rather than Jap-animation,

pierre, Love the image. The composition is very dynamic and works very well with the palette you've used. Excellent. I like the hair for it's stylised look. Nice modelling tip on the rock outcrops too, I'll have to have a play with that. Looking forward to the updates.
