looking at getting some lightwave books so i can learn the ins and outs of a few techniques of Lightwave. i currently have lightwave 8.5.

I came across a few books and just wanted to know if they are worth getting?

LightWave 3D 8: 1001 Tips & Tricks
Essential LightWave 7.5
LightWave 3D 8 Lighting

are any of these worth getting or is it kinda pointless? do they teach you stuff like how to make rain character models, skeletons etc.?

Don't forget Dan Ablan's killer book, "Inside LightWave [8]." Chapter 1 gives you a kick-start, and builds from there. Very easy-to-follow guidance.

i searched through Booktopia.com.au and came up with

Inside Lightwave X but according to the illustration on the book it looks like its lightwave [8]

sounds like a pretty sweet book, probably gonna grab that one...for me it will cost $85.46 + $6.50 postage.

it sounds like it should be worth it
