I've got a scene in my current projects that has a liquid boiling in a container. To make it look so its actual liquid boiling I've had to add some refraction.

The render times for this if I turn on raytracing for refraction and transparency go far too high for animation purposes (6-7 mins per frame x 1000 frames = too long), so I'm wondering if there are ways to fake the refraction or speed things up to a more useable time (1-2 mins)?
