Bit off-topic, but anyone here use The Mouse from MacMice? I need to reinstall the MouseCommand pref pane but I can't locate the driver online at all any more.

I anyone has archived the original installer, I'd be much obliged...

It's useful in LW because it allows me to use the scrollwheel to zoom in/zoom out. There, back on topic!

USB Overdrive to the rescue? Or is it a wireless mouse?

Ah yeah - that's done the trick. Cheers Cap'n. (Sigh - another $20 - this new Mac IS getting expensive... )

USBO is REALLY powerful, though. Well worth the $20. I wouldn't survive without it. ;) It can really do almost anything. And if you know how to AppleScript and how to write shell scripts, it can do anything!

HEY! How do you get it to zoom in/out with the wheel? I have USBO, some of the terms are ambiguous

Easy: for the Wheel Up/Wheel Down options, set the pop-up to 'Keystroke' and then type in the ',' or '.' characters, depending how you want it to move. I prefer Wheel Up to zoom out. It's a really nice time-saver.

I also need it for apps like RealFlow which don't automatically recgnise the middle mouse button - USBO effectively turns it on.

Cool, thank you.

I don't very much like that approach, though. If you do that, you can no longer scroll wheel up and down in windows.

You can actually constrain it to behave like that in LW only. I don't do much window scrolling at all in LW, so I think it'll work -

Yeah, I know, but it still annoys me that I can't scroll up and down certain windows. :p

You can always add a modifier key to keep your scrolling intact. Though what windows need scrolling in LW?

I prefer to keep my polygon statistics window fairly small. :p
