Hello All;
I have a Firestore FS-4pro which in case you are not familliar uses firewire for data transport/control.
Can I use the FireStore as an external recording drive on the TRICASTER ???
Will TRICASTER allow control ???

Thanks in Advance.

Yes and no.
You can use the firestore as an external volume on the Live Production tab, to save the .avi file.You can only access deck control within the Capture media tab, where it's seen like any other deck or camera.

Paul;
Thanks for the response.
If I get you right, it's an external drive.
You can set the Firestore up to work as an external drive.
It also saves in rawDV much like sending to tape, internally you can save out in a number of NLE formats through internal translation (canopus, matrox etc.)
If it works. it may prove to be a fast and easy way to get video into other editing suites.

Along the same lines, the nNovia unit can be set as a FireWire HD or a FireWire controllable VTR. the ability (as expressed in the wish list forum) to have DV output would be nice. A "Save to Tape" feature in the editor would be nice to output to a DV camera or VTR (with device control).
