View Full Version : Short Film Made With Lightwave FX

I just put up my latest short film, "Just Another Box" online that has over 80 FX shots that I used Lightwave 3D to create. It's the first film shot at an airport after 9/11 and has flying aircraft and plenty of live composites.

You can see the whole 30 minute movie at: http://www.apocalypso.tv/

You'll have to click on the link called "Watch movie online" to launch the Quicktime window but there's also a lot of production stills that explain how the film and FX were done.

It's a 65 meg Quicktime so you'll need a broadband connection. Enjoy! :)

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

This is a proof of concept short. Few believed one person with Lightwave could do anything like this (I'm in Tucson, Arizona, no where near Hollywood) so local investors are taking the FX feature I've been trying to get funded a little more seriously now because seeing is believing. I did this with one really old license of LW 5.6 but for the feature I'll be buying two licenses of 8.5. I've got the upgrade flyer from Newtek magneted to my fridge door.
