Hi, community,

I wonder if someone could help me, I need the famous Stanford Dragon and Happy Buddha (which have been generated using 3D scanners but are only available in *.ply format) in a format LW can read...maybe someone could point me to aplace where I can download them ?
As far as I know they are public domain...

Thanks !

I think you can find Stanford Models here (http://graphics.stanford.edu/data/3Dscanrep/)

there is a tool in cyberware site...iplyview.. when you install it also check installed folder... There must be ply2obj.exe and ply23ds.exe . You can convert ply files to OBJ or 3ds, and you can load them in modeler.

ftp://ftp.cyberware.com/dropbox/plyview/iplyview.exe

also check for following thread for more scanned 3D objects (.obj)
