View Full Version : VGA not working

01-21-2006, 12:50 PM
I booted up after several months off.
Only DVI output has computer video (screen not production). Went to Device Manager, etc. and only the NVidida card shows up. I have no VGA mboard display - ever.

You shouldn't have the mothorboard one showing up, just the nvidia.

The DVI should go to a projector, if you have it.

That VGA connector on the same card as the DVI should be the computer monitor.

Don't ever use the VGA that is along the bottom edge of the rear, close to the PS/2 keyboard and mouse. That one should have shipped with a plactic cover over it.

If you forget and turn on the TC with only a projector attached, it may put the computer screen on the projector. If so, power it down, connect the monitor to the correct VGA port, turn on the monitor and turn off the projector.

It should then detect the VGA monitor and start working normally again.
