I have read a lot about the benefits of rendering out shadows, highlights etc to seperate layers and compositing them in Photoshop.

But how exactly do you do this?

I am rendering some silk, and would like the ability to tone down some highlights later-on in Photoshop.

If anyone can shed some light on this, it wouldbe much apppreciated.

Cheers

Thats good to know, because I've just ordered that series of DVD's.

However it's still winging its way to this side of the planet, so any help in the meantime would be great.

AH HA!!!

For anyone else out there that's interested, in Layout go to window - image processing - add image filter. There you can select what things you'd like rendered out to different layers.

Very Cool!!!!
