Has anyone had luck loading HDR renders, or Cineon renders into Cinepaint?

I was hoping to try using Cinepaint to adjust gamma and all that instead of HDRshop, but Cinepaint doesn't like the files. HDRshop seems to read them just fine, so I wonder if it's a bug in Cinepaint. (Cinepaint is formerly Film Gimp - a 16-bit paint version of the Gimp) 16 bits per color gun, so it's 48-bit color instead of 24-bit.

Anybody had luck with FP or 16-bit and Cinepaint?
Thanks
Scott

it's not stable, you can load small HDR images, but it becomes unstable when you try to load high-res HDR images.

Good to know. I tried 640x480 images, and they had
large black horizontal streaks through them. These
streaks didn't show up in HDRshop.
