I am using Modeller 8.5 to do some architectural work and I am having some problems tapering a piece of geometry correctly. I have provided images of the issue below.

This is the current geometry.[existing geometry.jpg] And the resulting effect of the current taper problem.[problem geometry.jpg]

I am trying to taper an angled subdivided polygon. In effect I am trying to taper something back to its original state. From angled, subdivided poly to an equal subdivided poly. If that doesn't make sense please check the images provided.

Any ideas please post here or email me on: [email protected] or [email protected]

Many thanks

Piers

use the move or stretch tool.
open the numeric panel.
change falloff type from none to linear.
right click and drag an arrow from just above the bottom to the top of your grid.
(this is specifying where the falloff starts and stops).
move or stretch the grid into the position you want.

Cheers!
