I had some time over the holiday week end to put together a site with my latest project.

"la Traversee: vers l'autre chambre" ( or "the Crossing" in english) is a student project for my masters in multimedia design that I finished up this past september. Basically it's a 3d short that is to be projected into a virtual reality set. I tried it out back in september in a set called the Sas3 (which is a CAVE like display set) in Laval, France. All done in Lightwave of course. The site is in french right now, sorry. You might enjoy the animation anyways!

Here is the site:

and here is the video:

Feel free to check it out and tell me what you think about it.thanks!

What would you like a translation of....the whole thing? :)
Basically, it's the story of a person in a room sitting in front of his door. On the other side of the room is another door, behind which a friend of his is. his friend is has not come out from his room and hasn't said a word in a long time. the story is about the crossing of the room...a physical and psychological crossing.
This 3D short was rendered out in 4 animations to be projected on 4 walls (3 meters x 3 meters) of a virtual reality set, such as a CAVE. The goal of the project is to recherche new approches to cinema or story telling.

I don't know if that was what you were asking about. If you would like a more precise translation of something or more details don't hesitate. thanks for checking out the site!

What codec is this recorded using? My version of Quicktime wouldn't load it.

It's quicktime H.264 . I'm guessing you probably need quicktime 7 to view it.
