View Full Version : is RAID is evil with LWSN on it?

My Lwsn is installed on Raid disks.
I'm using TequilaScreamRender to manadge all nodes.
But i have a lot of trouble with all of them.
If i start too much of them, they all crashes.
Sometimes, a node or two are not responding, sometimes a node can't access datas, sometimes parts of frames are unwritten..., etc...
Is it a Lwsn limitation? is it a RAID limitations due to the stripped datas? or is it a server access and bandwith problems??

Aaah, just can't understand...

On what system is your data stored and your LWSN nodes?
Remember that Windows XP/2000 does not allow more than 10 users to login via network at the same time, if you want to do that you'll have to run server software (Windows 2003, Linux, FreeBSD, whatever)

(on a side note, there are hacked TCP/IP dlls on the internet that allows up to 50 users to login on a machine, offcourse, use on your own risk)

We started running Win2003 server on a 1.4TB RAID5 2 years ago, and since then, i think about 90% of our problems went away (net rendering wise)

we are using a Windows2000 Server Family with a 10 more pack licenses for nodes...The install procedure is strange btw. How to check if your server can accept more than 10 access? i mean, how to check if your licenses number is correctly set?...
