re: lw9 feature videos

small small teeny tiny but important request:

+ is for verts
X is for polys

+ should NOT be for edges.

perhaps the most intuitive cursor shape would be -.- with the period in the middle... or heck, even a diamond or something but it should be different so that we can still tell what mode we're in just by looking at the cursor.

small teeny tiny but important imo.

Good idea.

Maybe it could be something like this [+] , with the "[" & "]" in light grey?

How about

Nothing to see here... move along....Nothing to see here... move along....

Wow jin! I can't believe I never notice this before! Earlier this spring I trained a summer intern LW8 and several weeks after his training I noticed he had turned on the Fine Detail Cursor (effectively turning off any indication of what tool might be in use) and I somewhat scolded him on it. And then I did not even notice this until you just mentioned it. Cool! And shame on me, he got along fine. (He prevoiusly was a 3DMax user and now swears by LW.)

With pre-highlighting this would be a nontopicl. There wouldn´t even be the need for toggling through the different selection modes. Just hover over the element, it highlights and when clicked Modeler automatically jumps to the corresponding mode and selects.

It should be a squirrel, since they are very talented at running along edges.

I think this would be a good cursor for EDGEs.
