I was just wondering if anybody knew a site that had prints for houses - standard views with dimensions. I am needing to practice some arch/vis modeling and rendering and wanted to some good source material (free is nice).

thanks, I have found some.... However I was looking for some simple plans that show not only floor plan, but a good front, side view as well... Thanks for these sites though - knew about the first one - good one.

Hmmm, you're in luck actually... at the moment i'm working for my local council, and i'm scanning in EVERY plan that comes in for each project... including the applications for the planning too.

Here's the website... and all the files are .pdf.

If you have a good look around you should be able to find some nice buildings too.

Here's the link... http://planning.northdevon.gov.uk/welcome.asp (http://planning.northdevon.gov.uk/welcome.asp) be careful though, some of the file sizes are rediculous because of the crappy scanner we had and the way it's software saved to .PDF, but all the A1 and A0 plans should be under a meg. From this link you'll probably have to go to "Search & view applications decided" and then click on an application number. At the bottom you should see a "view plans" or something similar button.

Only problem with all this, is copyright may be an issue...?? So might be a good idea to change your building everso slightly! :D

The site seems to be down for the moment? Don't know why? Anyway, ALOT of local authorities near where i live are doing this, so maybe you could look around for others that are doing the same.
