View Full Version : Make objects line up with lights?

I have lights in my scene and need to add geometry (Objects) to serve as the fixtures, like for track lighting.

Is there an easy way I can make the new objects end up in the right place where my already existing lights are?

Maybe this will solve your problem:

just select all the lights, do a "Vec Copy". Then select all the objects and do a "Vec Move" for the position and a "Vec Rotate" for the rotation.

Hi Johnny,

Not sure if this helps but you can do this 'backwards' using Luxigons, which essentialy allows you define certain polygons in modeler to be converted to lights when the object is loaded in layout- a bit like skelegons for lights.
