I'm staring down the barrel of Flash about to put a web page together for the company and am wondering... Has anyone seen an increase in clients/work from putting up a page, or do you just get other animators poking around to check their quotes?
Just curious

Ours is mostly used for convenience. Friday I got a call from "Worlds Most Amazing Videos" wanting to know if we could do a shoot and who we've worked for. I was in session and simply told them to look at our web site under "Satisfied Customers" and get back to me.
Bamb. I didn't have to write up a resume and sell myself. We got the gig.

New business totally depends on how you market. I know of companies spending thousands every month to be among the highest search engine listings. Simply having a website doesn't do much good without having it found.

I'm almost embarrassed by the cookie cutter website we have. But it's better then not having one and I got it done in one day with no maintenance.

Either way, paying for better listings or just having it for convenience, you gotta do it.
