View Full Version : Lost follower plugin when importing mesh

Not sure if this is a bug or just something on my machine but when I import an animated object from another scene I find that it's lost the follower plugin that I applied. Anyone else found this?

did you load from scene or just load the object ?


If you just loaded the object it's just the way Lightwave works. Only surface settings are saved with the object file, motions, displacements and such are saved in the scene file.

No this was from scene as it has animations attached.

donno if it's any help, but I just did a simple test with a light following a null and follower survived load from scene in 8.5.

I'm sill using 8.3 so maybe they fixed it. The rig is quite complex so it would probably be worth testing on something not so simple. I've had the problem on all the characters that I've imported. They're all using the same set up though.
I should upgrade but because I'm in the middle of production I felt it safer to stick with 8.3.
I'll try a test tonight with 8.5
