View Full Version : audio visualisation

Im trying to find a solution for visualizing an incoming audiosignal, for measuring applause.

I tried this with an external laptop with ivga, but the latency is to high, so it is not interactive enough.

Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have an external mixer or deck with meters on it that you can route the signal to ? Depending on what I'm doing, I use one (or both) to see an accurate signal.

thx for the reply,

maybe it was not well explained, I would like to show the audience their loudness on the screen, with an inserted VU-meter. So people can see their influence to the peakmeter.
Ive done this with a software on an extra laptop and switched this display via ivga-VT4 to the program. The problem is the latency, if people are crying louder, it needs about 2 seconds to get the updated peakmeter from Laptop to VT4s program out, so not really interactive....

Anyway to incorporate the built in VT Audio Scope you can punch up on the switcher?
